So I’ve already linked to this through my facebook page, but I just can’t stop listening to it. It’s by a lad from London I believe, his myspace isn’t giving much away unfortunately. But after extensive research I have found rumours that he has just been signed to XL recordings – which is home to the likes of Radiohead, Basement Jaxx, The XX etc. He has made it into Radio 1′s ones to watch for 2011 which says a lot, I love Radio 1′s latest efforts in pushing new young producers.
His music is, hard to describe. It reminds me of Hudson Mohawke, with that hip-hop edge that HudMo loves also, and Jamie XX’s latest workings. The whole James Blake sound is huge at the moment, so you’ll probably love it – I clearly do. That work for you? It’s laid back and beautiful, yet brutal at the same time. With the risk of sounding too dweeby, have a listen for yourself and you can DL too I believe.
